HRE Group® Registered Valuers acting as Expert Witnesses or Single Joint Experts (SJE)


  • All HRE Group® Surveyors who undertake Expert reporting hold the RICS Expert Witness Certificate


  • An Expert's overriding duty is to the Court 


  • Taking on instructions involves understanding duties and expertise needed before conducting conflict checks and confirming independence


  • In acting, our Registered Valuers will have regard for the RICS Practice statement Surveyors acting as expert witnesses 4th Edition


  • They are adept to reporting in line with various formats including Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and Family Procedure Rules (FPR)


  • They can handle straight forward valuations that require Expert analysis of market evidence through to complex litigation that requires good understanding of Case Law


  • After reporting, in many cases the Expert / SJE is duty bound to manage replies and draft statements in line with Court Directions and attend hearing if necessary


  • HRE Group® Experts all have experience at Court, should representations need to be made
